Lovely Lakeland

Standard

This past week Reid and I did a wonderful engagement shoot in downtown Lakeland.  This is always one of our favorite places to go whether it’s for work, practicing our photography or just spending some much needed family time.  Luckily this week, we were able to do a little bit of both.  This has been a little bit of a stressful work week, so I really enjoyed looking back on our day spent there.  I hope you enjoy too!

Ybor City Days

This was a pretty good week I must say.  I got to work from home yesterday because, well I own my own business and I can :), and that was great.  I think I have talked myself into taking at least one work at home day a week or every couple weeks as it’s always good to break up the monotony.  I know that “stay at home” day is coming when I dread going into the office and just need a change of scenery.  I actually think I got more done in that one day than two days at the office.  Funny how that works sometimes.  So, Work Tip #1 from me:  Change your scenery once in a while!

Anyways, below are a couple pictures from my week.  My wonderful mother and mother-in-law came into the “big city” to have a nice lunch at The Stone Soup Company, I highly recommend it if you’re in the area!  Reid and I also had a wedding venue meeting with one of our wonderful bride and groom’s where we found that cool, old building.  Of course, Reid had to whip out his camera and I’m glad he did.  Enjoy! 🙂

Winding Down

Today was a bit of a stressful day.  Work tends to do that at times, I’m sure you can relate.  So, as Reid cooked dinner, I took a little down time outside.  I absolutely love being outdoors; in fact, I actually get kinda crabby if I’m cooped up too long without a breath of fresh air or a short walk.  I grabbed my camera and my dog Maggie, and we headed out beyond our lanai to the pond out back to enjoy the beautiful weather, water, and some much needed sunshine.  Below are some of the shots I took.  Reid has been teaching me how to edit in LightRoom, so I’m looking forward to practicing and discovering more fun ways to try different looks on my photos.  Enjoy!

Follow Me on Pinterest Baby!

Ok, so since I don’t have a totally “cool” blog yet, I actually just realized my domain name was cancelled, awesome…. I can’t add a Pinterest button to my home page.  So, I’m giving you the link here to follow me on Pinterest.  I actually have really good taste if I do say so myself…and I do.  So, hit me up on Pinterest and let’s exchange some cool ideas.  Go Here Now!

I actually usually don’t have much time at all for fun stuff like Pinterest anymore, but today I said what the heck and forced myself to stay in bed all day, read my blogs and pin fun stuff that I eventually want to use when the time comes to buy a house.

Until tomorrow, Happy Pinning!
